Thank you Joyce. It can be done, it's simply seeing without all the garbage that gets in the minds way. Meditation is what clears the windshield.

I don't believe a person can find true freedom by themselves. I believe one man/woman can only be free when all people are free. good article e

"The unobstructed mind has no goals", a very wise man once told me this. Well, other than "to pee or not to pee", and my bladder usually makes this decision for me. I therefore have a clean slate. Other than all the obstructions that I have built just for fun. Seemed like the right thing to do at the time, but now I'm not so sure. Hmm, guess I ought to meditate on that one. Just wondering, was it a conscious decision to seek a higher consciousness? If so was it a struggle to proceed or had you simply made the decision to do so? Oh, and are you going to charge me to answer those questions? :-)

Yes, $200.00 an hour. Isn't that the going rate! Actually, I never charge anything, even to stay at our meditation center. But few can stay for long because it involves much solitude.

Regarding my decision to seek a higher consciousness, no it wasn't a conscious decision. As things many times happen, it was an accident. I was actually hiding out in a Zen monastery in Mt. Shasta, CA 30 years ago to avoid some creditors! I had to play along with their routine, which included a lot of meditation, and one day, WHAM! A tremendous shift in consciousness occurred, including the revisiting of two past lives, that not only began to change my entire life but freed my mind like nothing I could have imagined. If I could navigate this kind of tremendous shift in the state of mind I was in, anyone can!

Here's the thing... in order for the insight to cut through thought as your mind brings on intuition, you must have a clear windshield. So, it is important to never run out of windshield wiper fluid.

That's great 2 cents! I sell windshield wiper fluid at the Rocksprings Meditation Retreat Sanctuary. (Actually, I give it away free).

Thank you my friend for the great rating!

I known a woman who is constantly changing jobs, taking courses, taking trips, moving to a new home (five in five years). She talks constantly about not knowing what she wants to do, always changing everything in her life. Then we'll get a Christmas card from her saying 'this year she is going to simplify her life." Which she never does. She looks at me like I'm from another planet and asks, "Don't you ever get restless?" And I tell her no. Maybe she sees my contentment as a lack of ambition or drive, but I have to say I wouldn't trade places. I'm generally happy with me, (it's everyone around me that needs changing). I'm just kidding. Another great article Raymond. There's an underlying theme to your articles. Meditation and listening to that little inner voice. I'm all for that, I just wish my little voice would speak a little louder sometimes. :)

"I just wish my little voice would speak a little louder sometimes. :)"

(Maybe it can't get through the noise of life! heh, heh. :) :)

Your friend is suffering from the delusion that if you shoot the arrow outward toward things, you will be happy. But you are only happy for a little while before you must shoot the arrow out again and again, until you run out of arrows, or life. The arrow must fall at your feet, which means going inward. but going inward is not easy although it is the only permanent solution. Going inward involves the absolute destruction of self, which is the root problem.

Thank you Brianna, my good friend!

"Real change means understanding life as it truly is."

This is it, i totally agree and spread this true thought.

People must realize that the change is not important, but a positive change that is driving us forward, not backward.

Nice one E.

Hi e.

I've often wondered about those folks who have five year plans and ten year plans. I wonder how they can even imagine what they might be doing all that time from now. And what if it doesn't come to pass? Do they feel like failures?

I do have a goal though. One I set for myself for the end of summer. I would really like to finally get the hang of the gait called "canter" on "my" horse. There are a couple of reasons: everyone says it's a load of fun and I need to be able to do this in order to exercise him properly. The end of summer is coming and I still haven't gotten it, but for myself I really don't care. It will come in its own time. It's only for Diablo that I do this.

I've never been a big goal setter. I mean, you can never really know what is going to happen and things change all the time.

There is a lot to take in, in your article, and I'm sure I haven't really understood all of it. But I find it to be excellent and very thought provoking ... as they always are.

Hugs, Dianne

My only goal is happiness: personal happiness and fullfillment are all I want and hope to achieve. Not riches, not more intelligence, and certainly not more 'stuff'.

All of the 'other things' can fall by the wayside. Great job, sir. As always.
