How to Promote Yourself and Become Outstanding

More and more people are discovering how to promote themselves and become outstanding. To become "out - standing," however, means that someone has to be "back - standing," or standing behind or below you.

It stands to reason then, that as more and more become outstanding, more and more must become slugs, otherwise an outstanding person among innumerable outstanding people would no longer be outstanding - just ordinary. So, we need the slugs! Let's hear it for the slugs!

How lesser people make us look good.

It is definitely in our best interests to cultivate sluggery, for the simple reason that in order for us to be outstanding, someone else must look bad, very bad, so that we can look good, very good. Isnt that what it is all about?

So let's see how we can persuade more and more to become less than us so that we can continue to stand out.

Actually, many slugs do it without any help at all from us outstanding people. Just the color of their skin, or their weird accent or strange religion will slugify them and make us look good beside them. Real good. It's almost too easy!

We are so outstanding that we hardly need to be concerned if there will be enough of the lesser people around. But just in case people begin seeing the slugs in the same light as us outstanding ones, we had better make sure that the slugs remain slugs! Doesn't that make outstanding sense?

How to keep lesser people downtrodden.

One good way to do this is to bad mouth the slugs constantly, putting them down and keeping them far below us. Here is where our flag comes in handy, because shiftless slugs have no appreciation of how outstanding is the country that we belong to. Even the flag itself is outstanding. No other country has such an outstanding flag.

And our language - English - it's outstanding. No other language on the face of the planet can compare. The others sound so foreign and threatening, and anyone can see that those languages will never be outstanding. I can't even understand them!

One of the surest ways to keep slugs slugified is to talk about how plain, common, and unintelligent they are. Look at the kind of jobs they have! If that doesn't tell you something about them, what will? Outstanding people would never stoop to such levels. Let's face it, we will never have to. We are just too outstanding.

You are outstanding.

So let's promote ourselves by belittling others and advertising ourselves, which makes perfect sense in an imperfect world, wouldnt you say? And what better way to promote yourself than to constantly talk about yourself and your achievements openly and often? What good is an achievement if it doesn't promote you? That would be a waste of time. And anyway, others love to hear about you. Because you are outstanding.

Don't they?

Another great one, e. I was just viewing a video from Darren Rowse, the proprietor of ProBlogger.net. As a master at communicating on the Internet he recently sent a video message to a church conference about the Christian use of the Internet.

In it, he says that the WRONG way to use the Internet is to make a name for yourself. The RIGHT way is to use the Internet to serve others and build community. Right along with what you're saying here.

If anyone would like to view it, it can be viewed here

Keep up the great writing, e!

I must be far more "slug-ified" than I ever imagined. I read and re-read your piece and have no clue what you're saying.

No problem Ken. Many of my articles are that way. When I write, mostly I just sit down down and start writing, and out it comes, one idea after another in order. An article usually takes less than twenty minutes to write. And other than a few typos or clarifications, I change the article very little.

Sorry it wasn't clearer.

Another excellent piece, e. I get this and I understand and many would be wise to heed these words. Many Americans (and many from other countries, of course) want to be the tallest tree, yet isn't that the first to be cut down?

Great job.

The blindness of conceit and arrogance leads to duality and wars. The vision of understanding and acceptance leads to oneness and peace. It's a simple thing. Thanks Mike.

I just became a fan, Sir Rock!

And the fact that so many wouldn't get it, is what is really, really scary!

Thank you sir for trying to shine the light!

Thanks David. A new fan! Great !

Well, maybe the ones who don't get it are so completely innocent of racism and judgmentalism, with such great humility and humbleness, that the article didn't resonate. I can only hope that is true. Otherwise, the ignorance is so deeply embedded that there is hardly any hope that they will ever open their eyes to truth - the truth of equality.

Thank you for your sharing, E. Rock. It is outstanding article. Just one thing is that we should use your concept to make ourselves better and outstanding. It should not be used to look down on others, even we are outstanding. I may took a look at your concept from a different angle. Thanks, again.
