World War IV - Ominous Signs

This is a scary article. Certainly not for the fainthearted or the idealist. World War IV is on track and little can be done to stop it. The connotation WW IV means that the next war will be the end, after which WW categories will no longer have relevance. All will be gone including any further history. "I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Albert Einstein. Let's look at the obvious signs that the final World War is coming soon.

Violence

There was a time in America where men joined bowling leagues or passed their time on tennis courts or golf courses. Those pastimes are rapidly changing, as fast as are the men that previously found them to be satisfying. I use the masculine sense because what I am about to say is all about testosterone, and the results of thriving on it above all else.

Now instead of joining bowling leagues, men are joining militias, and kids instead of shooting pool are joining gangs and shooting each other. The impulse has changed over the years from friendly, athletic competition to eliminating, (I believe the word is "dispatching" in militia circles), the adversary, and the tendency toward violence is becoming stronger every day. The NRA is thriving.

Irrational patriotism

Another sign that we are getting ready for the Big One is patriotic nationalism to the extent that it's us against them in all facets of life, from schools to immigration to economics. Whether they are our own citizens that see the danger on nationalism and how it has caused so much death and destruction in the world, or those who live outside of our borders, they view them all as combatants. A clan mentality is developing that encapsulates the animal desire to kill its enemies. Even China and Germany have recently become very nationalistic. The sides are forming. The world is about to catch fire.

The right will criticize anyone but Wall Street or the Industrial Military complex, because the right understands that it is power that only matters in the long run according to their perspective. And Wall Street funds the military. They disdain nuclear arms treaties and anything that will affect our firepower when the war starts.

These tendencies are being voiced now by conservatives, both in the media and in governments all across the globe. (in Western Europe now, conservatives rule except for Spain). And this tendency toward violence is becoming so strong that liberal voices are all but being drowned out. The economy doesn't matter, or who might have caused the economy to tank, all that matters is the hatred that is being expressed, a contagion, an insanity that might not be able to be stopped.

America is going right even in the face of Bush's follies. Nothing will matter as long as people agree to cow tow to the flag and to the burgeoning impetus toward war. This is the finale, what the right has been hoping for, for a long time. The militias aren't practicing in order to act as a partner with law enforcement. To the contrary, militias are playing out the subconscious dreams of conflict. And who can get in their way?

A wave of fear and control

The socialist and liberals are falling by the wayside in the bulldozing by the right. Hate radio is a good example. There is no longer a conversation. Those days are gone. There are just the formalities now of finding an excuse to light the fuse. The fuse will be a falling down of international trade when the reality sets in that not all can dominate or continue with trade surpluses. Then nationalism will be a torrent that cannot be stopped as trade barriers are put up and borders sealed.

So with all of this in mind, keep an eye out for subtle moves and strategies that portend war. They are there, and will continue to blossom until the right satisfies their greatest desire, to wipe from the face of the earth anyone who is different from them

The only thing that I worry about is that these hawks, who are going to start WW IV, are ignorant of what the reality of war is. These are armchair quarterbacks, boy scouts in the woods with their rag tag militias which they view as saving America.

But once they learn the lesson of complete and utter destruction of their homes, family and ideals, only then will they understand that America could have been saved, were it not for them and their insanity.

To divide and conquer has forever been the recipe of the rich and powerful to maintain control over the masses, for they could not maintain this control over a united citizenry.

This is what the founders tried to guard against when establishing individual rights and the right to self determination.

The last time in this country that the people spoke in unity against the attempts of corporate America to divide the people along ideological issues was when government was forced to abolish the criminalization of alcohol. And this only occurred because alcohol also was the choice of enough of the powerful that they allowed the voices of reason to prevail.

The precedent however had been set and they needed only divide the people along lines that they were more willing to accept, hence the prohibition of drugs.

Since this time, the slippery slope if you will, people have come to accept that other popular issues are fair game for forcing their ideas and personal beliefs on others, irrespective of the constitution and it's intentions.

So we now have a populace that is intent on forcing their will on others and this is exactly where the influential intended to take us, and fed on the greed of the weak minded that need these issues to substantiate their superiority.

To simply be a citizen and not one who is in control of others is simply no longer acceptable.

So yes, unfortunately there have been enough of us to allow the wool to be pulled over our eyes that the only way to reestablish civility I'm afraid is war.

God help our children, for look what we have done to them!

Much of this forcing one's will on others seems to come from a base of fundamentalism in certain religions, mostly Abrahamic, which is based on prosyltising (control), and which carries over to the general populace in many other subtle ways. Probably fundamentalist, extreme religious beliefs will end the world. What an irony!

The conditioning of young minds to track our country for disaster begins early, some places more so than others. Memorial Day observances become wrapped in covert nationalist calls to arms, grade school children are implicitly rewarded for providing hawkish speeches more than somber laments of the sadness of war. Many churches ride the militant bandwagon, pairing Jesus with global hegemony. Many churches ride the capitalist bandwagon, pairing Jesus with oil and gold, and having been fooled by Mammon, blinded by his trinkets.

Thank you. Excellent observances. The attention of all this disaster psychology will soon be cleverly directed at another country or countries that will be blamed for our ills, instead of our own failings. The recovery this time is going to fall into a bottomless pit of international pressure and competition that will corrupt our prestige. Once this happens, left leaning, right leaning and everyone else will get on the bandwagon just as they blindly and psychotically as they did with Iraq (Kill Saddam!) But this time it won't be as easy because Russia and China have sharp teeth capable of wiping out our country. At any given moment both Russia and China have scores of nuclear subs right off our coast each with 64 nuclear warheads aimed directly at our major and minor cities - only twenty minutes away from mass destruction. And you might think that nobody would be foolish enough to press the button, but I have news for you, it's a psychological thing where winning many times negates death. Ask any professional football player that is worth his salt.

Funny you should mention it. Salt may be our futures only consumable resource, those of us left to do battle over it anyway!

Can't eat gold . . . or derivatives! But you're right, we always seem to find something to battle over.

Nicely done, e, yet I cannot help but wonder all of these things have been around for awhile now. Maybe it's just because of the 24/7 news it just seems like 'the end'.
The hatriots and other 'militia groups' (I use the term very loosely since they are nothing like the original militia groups of the Revolutionary era) have been around forever.
The wave of fear and control has been around since the 'duck and cover' days of the fifties, yet as you say today we have the right pummelling the left. The left, for its part, is learning very well how to respond with the same hate-mongering, with-us-or-against-us vitriol.
And finally, violence is actually down over the past few years: this might be due to the limitless distractions the American people have these days.

Having said that, I agree with your article that the signs are there: The financial catastrophe in Greece (and soon, Europe . . . to be followed by our own unless we get with the program), the economic divide in this country, in which both the rich and the poor pit their group against the other, the racial/immigration divide, in which both sides are shooting first and not caring what the other side is saying . . .and the list goes on.
So. WW IV. It is coming. It is, as the saying goes, only a matter of time. And that time might well soon be upon us. Great article, and great food for thought, sir.

Good counterpoints Mike which I cannot disagree with. I remember an article about how close Kennedy actually was to pushing the button during the Cuban missile thing, but that was an anomaly. Nothing to do with bankrupt nations looking for a way out of certain economic failure with preemptive force. I also remember a current article about how militias nationally have increased from hundred or so to over five-hundred just in the last year. There is just this national anger that is hard to put a finger on, almost unconscious, subliminal, instinctive, looking for the least excuse to disagree and argue. Like a sea of land mines with their little spikes sticking out just waiting for someone to touch them.

Not in laid back Austin, I’m sure!
